The project that has been approved includes the expansion of the gross construction area, which will be 934.78m2. With a total plot area of ​​540m2, the building's footprint will be 293.66m2. This expansion, set back from the alignment of the street front, makes it possible to enhance and highlight the architectural design of the existing building. Therefore, an attempt was made to preserve the identity, history and uniqueness of the current construction, where, in parallel, a new body of contemporary lines appears in the background. The old attic, with a tiled roof, is replaced by a new recessed floor and a terrace at the level of the existing roof. In the backyard, at the back, it is proposed to demolish all buildings to allow for outdoor parking for cars. The rear facade, and in contrast to the existing situation on the main facade, presents a contemporary look, where three balconies with glass guards stand out. In its interior development, the intervention seeks to embody architectural contemporaneity in the spatial design of the various spaces, using large surfaces with little compartmentalization, open plan kitchen and living room solutions and distribution halls without doors or visual barriers. The proposed patio area (246.34 m2) is permeable in its entirety, with the exception of the private outdoor area attached to the 0 floor fraction. The existing walls, which flank the plot, will be maintained as they are, subject only to restoration work. Where missing, a new wall will be built with the same height as the existing one (around 1m high). The same painting design will be replicated in the existing building and the new building will be painted white, as indicated in the drawings.
